The social responsibility project titled "Unpolluted Waters," supervised by Associate Professor Dr. Esra BAYÇELEBİ and led by Berna İPEKÇİ, one of our faculty students, has been completed. The project was carried out with the contributions of Associate Professor Dr. Hazel BAYTAŞOĞLU, Associate Professor Dr. Samet KALKAN, and Dr. Faculty Member Zeynep Zehra İPEK, who provided research assistance. The project took place at the Rize Provincial Disaster and Emergency Directorate in collaboration with members of the Kaçkar Mountaineering, Rafting, and Ski Sports Specialized Club. As part of the project, information was provided about the concept and types of water pollution, and examples from the Ergene Basin, Sea of Marmara, and İzmit Gulf were discussed. The importance of individual and societal measures against pollution was also highlighted.
