The 3rd grade students of Rize, İyidere Central Primary School, under the guidance of their classroom teachers, visited the Faculty of Fisheries to observe the practices related to fisheries science on site. During the visit, the students examined in detail the Aquarium Unit and the rich Fish Collection within the Faculty. The academics and officials at the center provided the students with information about aquatic species, and marine and freshwater ecosystems. The students had the opportunity to closely recognize various fish species in the collection and showed their interest in scientific studies. Associate Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Dr. İlker Zeki KURTOĞLU, stated that the students’ intense curiosity and effort to learn in this field is very valuable and expressed his satisfaction in hosting the scientists of the future.
